Maybe its just me but he seems to be all over the place trying to explain what the chords and voicings are. Hes very quick and seems to skip explaining certain areas. And that keyboard sounds atrocious. Sorry but thats how it seems to me. I've seen much better tutorials on this great song. I learned alot from other videos on this tune but learned practically nothing from this video.

This is amazing. So glad to see there are still yacht rock songs made today. And what a song, to boot! With professional recording I could totally see this on yacht rock best-ofs everywhere.

I’m a Classical guy. Jazz never came naturally to me. But I was exploring chord shapes and alterations a few years ago when I discovered this sound. I even figured it out in the same key. I was playing a lot in D major. I always thought of it as an A dom7 with an F# major triad on top. So it’s called “13 flat 9”? Is the convention to indicate the extension and then the alteration? Thanks for clearing this up.

If it can help anyone, "Meet you all the way" F Bb Db (c bass) "Rosa---nna yeah" return Db (Db bass) Bb F not the same thing as when it starts a slight variation but pretty accurate.
